ABOUT US
The History of Camp HarmonServing California and beyond since 1964
Camp Harmon is located in Boulder Creek, California, amidst the beautiful redwood forest of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Easterseals Central California has owned and operated Camp Harmon since 1960, when two sisters from a pioneer logging family, Jessie and Mignon Harmon, charitably sold the land to Easterseals for $1. In 1964, Camp Harmon offered its first camp for children with disabilities and continues to be a magical place, offering hundreds of children and adults living a safe, inclusive and fun summer camp experience.

Our Approach to Disability CampEvery activity becomes an enrichment opportunity
At Camp Harmon, skill development is intentionally woven into the restorative qualities of
recreation and the joy of exploration. Whether it’s art, games, aquatics, music, drama, or hands-on experiences in the farm and garden, campers have numerous opportunities to:
- build fine and gross motor skills,
- practice social and recreational abilities,
- and discover new strengths in a supportive, inclusive and uplifting environment.
Each experience is thoughtfully designed to inspire confidence, belonging, and lasting impact—ensuring that every camper leaves with new skills, new friendships, and memories that continue to shape them long after summer ends.
Environmental conservation and stewardship practices are incorporated into daily camp life, helping campers and staff form a meaningful connection to our natural resources.
